🚤  Arrive Venice Santa Lucia station. Transfer by water taxi or vaporetto to Hotel Royal San Marco — steps from Piazza San Marco, in the heart of the city.

🏨  Check in at Hotel Royal San Marco or similar. Rooms overlook the Rio delle Procuratie or Calle dei Fabbri — you are in the very heart of Venice.

🌆  Rest of the day at leisure. Step outside and you are already in one of the most beautiful cities ever built. Walk. Get lost. That is the point.

🚤  Half-Day Grand Canal Boat Tour — Venice's main waterway is lined with more than 170 palazzi built between the 13th and 18th centuries. The boat tour passes the Rialto Bridge, the Ca' d'Oro, the Palazzo Ducale, and the Punta della Dogana. The architecture is so beautiful it seems impossible. This is the best way to see it.

🌊  Afternoon free — explore the city's six sestieri (neighbourhoods) on foot. Dorsoduro for galleries, Cannaregio for authentic local life, San Polo for the Rialto market.

🌅  Venice at sunset from the Ponte dell'Accademia or the Punta della Dogana — one of the most beautiful views in the world.

🍽️  Dinner in Venice — fresh seafood, risotto al nero di seppia (black ink squid risotto), sarde in saor. Venetian cuisine is unlike anywhere else in Italy.
