Egypt for the whole family. Pyramids, dolphins, desert dunes and a ski slope inside a mall. Yes, really.
Seven days across two of Egypt's most extraordinary destinations. Cairo, where the pyramids have been standing since before every civilisation your children have studied. And Sharm El Sheikh on the Red Sea — warm water, coral reefs, and a desert that glows gold at sunset. Between the history and the adventure, the dinner cruise and the underwater world, the quad bikes and the ski slope in a shopping mall — Egypt is going to absolutely blow their minds.
Warn the kids in advance: this one is going to be hard to top.
Sunday, 14 December
EgyptAir carries you out of Entebbe at 4:15am and into Cairo by 8:55am — your local representative is already waiting at the airport, ready to make everything smooth from the moment you land.
Flights: Entebbe (04:15) → Cairo (08:55)
A transfer takes you straight to Radisson Blu Cairo Heliopolis — your well-appointed home for the first three nights. Check in, get the family settled, and let Cairo begin to work its magic.
Monday, 15 December
Today is the day the history books come to life — and your children will never look at them the same way again.
Your full-day Cairo tour takes the whole family through the city's most iconic landmarks, guided in English with the kind of storytelling that keeps even the youngest travellers engaged.
The Pyramids of Giza are bigger than any photograph prepares you for. Standing at the base, the children crane their necks and go very quiet, which for children, says everything. Built 4,500 years ago and still standing without a single word of explanation for how. The Great Sphinx watches from the sand, ancient and knowing.
✦ Lunch included
Tuesday, 16 December
A dinner cruise carries your family along one of the world's most famous rivers as the city lights up on both banks. An authentic Egyptian dinner arrives as Cairo drifts past the windows. Then the entertainment begins — live music, traditional performances, and the kind of spectacle that has everyone at the table putting their phones down and simply watching.
The Nile at night is something special. Experiencing it as a family is something else entirely.
Wednesday, 17 December
This morning the desert gives way to the sea — and the children's energy levels, already impressive, go up another notch.
Flights: Domestic flight: Cairo → Sharm El Sheikh
Xperience Sea Breeze Resort is your all-inclusive home for the next three nights — meals, drinks and the beach are all handled. Check in, change into swimwear, and spend the afternoon exactly as families should: in the water.
Thursday, 18 December
The submarine excursion is the moment the children realise that everything they've seen in nature documentaries is actually real and actually this close.
A glass-sided vessel glides beneath the surface of the Red Sea's famous reef system — coral formations in colours that look artificially vivid, tropical fish in formations that look choreographed, and the whole extraordinary underwater world right there, right outside the glass. No wetsuit required. No swimming ability needed. Just eyes wide open and a lot of pointing.
The rest of the day is the resort's — beach, pool, waves, and whatever keeps your family happiest.
Friday, 19 December
Possibly the most memorable day of the whole trip — and that is saying something.
The morning takes the family out into the Sinai desert on a safari as the light turns everything golden. Quad bikes tear across open sand — the older children absolutely loving it, the parents possibly loving it more. Dunes, silence, the vast ancient landscape of the peninsula.
Then, after your domestic return flight, Egypt Mall — and inside it, one of the most surprising things in the entire country: Ski Egypt, a full indoor ski slope in the middle of the desert. Real snow. Real slopes. The children will not believe it until they are standing on it.
Flights: Domestic flight: Sharm El Sheikh → Cairo
Saturday, 20 December
A final breakfast. EgyptAir carries you home overnight — departing Cairo at 9:55pm and landing back in Entebbe at 5:55am.
Flights: Cairo (21:55) → Entebbe (05:55)
You'll arrive home tired and triumphant. The children will be talking about the pyramids and the ski slope and the submarine in the same breath for months. As they should.
