🏨  09:00  Transfer to Dedeli Konak Cave Hotel in Ürgüp. Check in to your cave room.

🪨  11:00  First impressions of Cappadocia — step outside. The fairy chimneys and volcanic valleys of Ürgüp surround the hotel. Nothing looks like this anywhere else on earth.

🥗  13:00  Lunch in Ürgüp town centre — 5 minutes' walk from the hotel.

🌅  17:00  Sunset walk in the valleys — the light on the volcanic rock in the late afternoon is extraordinary.

🍽️  20:00  Dinner at the hotel's rooftop restaurant — traditional Turkish cuisine under the stars.

🍳  08:00  Buffet breakfast on the panoramic rooftop terrace. The views over Ürgüp and the surrounding valleys set the tone for the day.

🗺️  09:30  Cappadocia North Tour — the definitive Cappadocia experience. Göreme Open Air Museum (a UNESCO World Heritage Site of Byzantine rock-cut churches with original frescoes dating back to the 10th century), Devrent Valley (the 'Imagination Valley' of fairy chimneys shaped like animals), Pasabag (the Monks' Valley — the most dramatic fairy chimney formations in Cappadocia), Avanos (the pottery town on the Red River), Uchisar Castle (the highest point in Cappadocia with panoramic views), and the scenic Pigeon Valley.

🍽️  13:00  Lunch on tour — traditional gözleme (Turkish pancakes) and local dishes.

🌅  18:00  Return to Ürgüp. Evening free.

🍹  19:30  Turkish tea on the stone fireplace terrace at the hotel — one of the most atmospheric evening spots in Cappadocia.

🎈  05:30  Optional: Hot Air Balloon Flight over Cappadocia at sunrise — the single most iconic experience in all of Turkey. The valleys, fairy chimneys, and volcanic landscape from 300 metres up as the sun rises is something photographs cannot capture. Book in advance.

🍳  09:00  Breakfast — late start if you did the balloon, early start if not.

🏇  10:30  Optional: Quad Biking through Cappadocia's valleys — the Red Valley, Rose Valley, Love Valley. An exhilarating way to see the landscape.

🐎  10:30  Optional: Horse Riding through the valleys — Cappadocia is one of the world's best places to ride, with dedicated trails through ancient landscapes.

🌊  13:00  Lunch at leisure in Ürgüp.

🛍️  15:00  Afternoon free — the local carpet shops, pottery studios, and wine cellars of Ürgüp are worth exploring. Cappadocia produces excellent local wine from Emir and Öküzgözü grapes.

🌙  20:00  Last evening in Cappadocia. The night sky here, away from city light pollution, is breathtaking.

🍳  07:00  Early breakfast and check-out from Cappadocia.

✈️  08:40  Fly Cappadocia → Istanbul (NAV → IST 08:40 → 10:10) on Turkish Airlines.

🏨  12:00  Transfer to Ramada by Wyndham Taksim. Check in.

🌆  13:00  First afternoon in Istanbul — step outside and walk to Taksim Square (3 minutes), then down Istiklal Avenue, Istanbul's most famous pedestrian street. 1.4km of restaurants, shops, galleries, and the famous Tunnel tram.

🌉  18:00  First Bosphorus view — walk to the waterfront at Beşiktaş or Karaköy. The strait between Europe and Asia, with the old city on one side and the modern city on the other, is an extraordinary sight.

🍽️  20:00  Dinner in Beyoğlu — the neighbourhood around the hotel is full of meyhanes (Turkish taverns) serving meze, grilled fish, and raki.

⛴️  09:30  Princess Island Tour / Bosphorus Tour — two of Istanbul's most beloved water experiences.

🏝️  —  Princess Islands: a ferry to the Princes' Islands (Büyükada), the car-free Ottoman retreat in the Sea of Marmara — horse-drawn carriages, wooden mansions, pine forests, and the feeling of stepping back in time. Lunch on the island.

🌊  —  Or Bosphorus Cruise: sail the strait between Europe and Asia past the Dolmabahçe Palace, the Rumeli Fortress, the Bosphorus Bridge, and the traditional Ottoman yalis (waterside mansions). One of the great boat journeys in the world.

🌃  19:00  Return to Taksim. Evening free — the rooftop bars of Beyoğlu have some of the best views of the city skyline at night.

🍳  09:00  Breakfast at the hotel.

🎢  10:30  Vialand Theme Park & Venezia Mega Outlet Shopping Mall — Istanbul's largest theme park complex. Rides for all energy levels, international and Turkish brands at the outlet mall, food courts, and a full day of entertainment in one location.

🍽️  13:00  Lunch at Vialand — the food options cover everything.

🛍️  16:00  Shopping continued — Venezia Mega Outlet for fashion deals, or return to the city for the Grand Bazaar (the world's oldest and largest covered market — 61 streets, 4,000 shops) or Spice Bazaar.

🌆  19:00  Return to Taksim. Last evening in Istanbul.

🍽️  20:00  Farewell dinner — somewhere that does justice to Turkey. Ask your Travel Designer for the recommendation.

🍳  08:00  Final breakfast at the Ramada.

🕌  10:00  Free morning — last Istanbul moments. Galata Tower (10 minutes from the hotel), Hagia Sophia, or simply another walk down Istiklal Avenue.

🚌  15:00  Transfer to Istanbul International Airport. The hotel is 2 minutes from the Havabus airport bus terminal.

✈️  18:35  Fly Istanbul → Entebbe on Turkish Airlines.
